Three other people, including a 10-year-old girl from Copiague, were killed earlier Saturday in separate crashes involving drunk drivers.

The daughter, Isabella Granobles, drove a Chevy Cruze sedan driven by her mother, Diana Granobles, 31, which turned left on Guy R. Brewer Boulevard in Queens. As she turned, a Nissan Altima heading west on Rockaway Boulevard crashed into her car.

The mother and daughter were evacuated from the crash near John F. Kennedy International Airport, but died at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.

The other driver, Tyrone Absolam, 42, was arrested in hospital and charged with manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, assault and impaired driving. Police said he was drunk and was driving at high speed.

Mr Absolam and his front passenger, a 38-year-old woman, were hospitalized in critical condition, police said. A 12-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl who sat in the back of the car were stabilized in serious condition at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, police said.

In another fatal crash in Harlem, Jason Graham was riding his motorcycle early Saturday southbound on Frederick Douglass Boulevard, when a Dodge Durango driven by a man who police said had too much to drink crashed into him as he was heading east on West 142nd Street, killing him.

Mr. Graham, 41, of Newburgh, NY, was pronounced dead in Harlem Hospital. Batista Rosario, 30, of Poughkeepsie, NY, remained at the scene, where he was arrested for impaired driving.
