Warm weather causes enormous growth of the ice cream trade | WDHN

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) This week many can make wishes for rain.

According to the National Weather Service, residents can expect a warm and humid combination throughout the week.

With the rise in temperatures comes an increase in sales for some companies. A local business that does particularly well during the heat of the summer is Tikiz Shaved Ice and Ice Cream.

And owner Brad Tucker said his phone was ringing.

“Now that the heat is rising this weekend and my phone is ringing quite regularly we are getting more and more ‘hey can you come over’ ‘are you busy this afternoon’ so instead of booking in advance we’re getting more calls for right now Tucker said.
