Olympic tennis has so far proved to be fun and unpredictable with a number of huge disruptions and exciting three-set matches. We’ve seen the top two seeds in the women’s raffle have fallen when Marin Cilic almost blew a 5-0, 40-0 lead, which is a steady unprecedented.

There will definitely be more excitement on Tuesday, and I have some ways to get involved in the activities below.

Ugo Humbert (+310) vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas (-450)

This match is certainly a breaking relationship between two fast-rising, talented young tennis players. Tsitsipas has won two important victories over Philipp Kohlschreiber and Frances Tiafo in the first two rounds, which helped him regain his form, while Humbert should be full of confidence after returning from victory over talented Miomir Kecmanovic.

Both have a lot to prove in Tokyo: Tsitsiaps is falling from the insane pace he was at the start of the season, and Humbert went through a collapse after a rise in rankings in 2020. We know the Greek is the one to rise to the occasion in the international game. which shows his high level in the ATP Cup over the last two years, and this summer we have seen Humbert show an advantage in his first taste of the international game.

Both men should come play aggressive tennis, and I don’t expect many breaks between the two early. Humbert has a massive service that always seems to get him out of trouble, but his return leaves much to be desired, and Tsitsipas has served very well in addition to that.

This should be a very tight match, and I think the line is far too disrespectful to Humbert after a very stable tennis month. I support him in keeping things close.

Ilya Ivashka (+155) vs. Kei Nishikori (-200)

Ivashka has had an absolutely crazy midsummer for a player who did little to prove himself in the first seven years of his career and rose to the top 70 in the world. He has done it behind his tremendous service and powerful bottom shocks, and his path to the third round has been impressive as he has beaten solid hardfield players Gael Monfils and Mikail Kukushkin.

The line has shifted significantly in favor of Nishikor, and I would be willing to bet because he had won Andrey Rublev and Monfils and Kukushkin early in the bad seasons. The level of the latter two was very high, and since it concerns Rublev, he is in the midst of a recession and has experienced confusing results this summer.

I think the way the audience and the odds evaluate the forms of these two is wrong; Ivashka should be given a very good chance of winning here as he has been almost unstoppable all year. I think he’s pulling upset here.
