Donald Hanson, 93 years old of Antioch, IL, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at home. He was born on December 3, 1927 to the late John and Viola (nèe Lindmeier) Hanson in Oak Park, IL. Donald proudly served in the United States Navy and then joined the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150. He married the love of his life, Theresa Lucille Gallina, on April 25, 1953. Donald was a very devout Catholic who is a longtime member of St. Peter Catholic Church, serving as an usher until he reached the age of 90. Donald lived a full life. He will miss his wife, his seven children, his thirteen grandchildren and a handful of great-grandchildren. He loved people as well, but he will now join his other family in Heaven with his parents, siblings, and others. He truly is the party life with sharp wit and best sense of humor. He also had bad dance moves. He’s the # 1 grandfather and he has a shirt to prove it.
