Jack Hendry was one of the stars of the show for Club Brugge as Belgium side Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar were kept at bay.

The Scotland star even missed a glorious opportunity that would have secured a famous Champions League victory for his new team.

Hendry signed with Brugge from KV Oostende on deadline day and made his debut in the 3-0 win over his former club at the weekend.

The former Celtic and Dundee player did enough to impress coach Philippe Clement and was selected to start their opening group game against the feared Paris Saint-Germain side.

Many were left at the heart of Scotland’s defense when they saw the front line he was facing.
