SOUTH SKY, Ind. -RIT dropped the 6-0 decision to Notre Dame in 13th place on Saturday.
The Tigers (3-2-1) earned a break with the Irish (4-1-0) after winning a 3-2 OT win on Thursday.
HOW DID IT HAPPEN
- Notre Dame opened the first set to a 3-0 lead. Trevor Janicke reported an ice cross from Chase Blackmun inside the left column at 1:49 p.m. Max Ellis blocked a shot through the crowd inside the right post at 9:25 before Janicke made his second game by hitting a RIT freshman goalkeeper Tommy Scarfonen pillows.
- The Irish got a 5-0 difference in the second set. Ellis re-fired Blackmun’s point at the Scarfone stick at 7:46 before Landon Slaggert cleaned the ball back inside the right post at 6:35.
- The Irish hit the final goal 1:30 left in the rules of the game after Hunter Strand scored a goal from the left opposite point across the ice.
GAME NOTES
- Scarfone made 39 fights with their first collegiate appearance when Notre Dame finished with a 45-22 shot advantage.
- RIT ended in a 0-4 victory game and killed 3-4 penalties.

RIT will host Atlantic Hockey competitor Mercyhurst next Friday and Saturday (October 29-30) at 7:05 PM and 5:05 PM.
