Business Meeting: Awaiting Nominations – US Senate Committee on Energy and Nature…

The business meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at 10:00 a.m in room 366 of the Dirksen Senate office in Washington, DC.

The purpose of the business meeting is to discuss the nominations of:

• dr. Geraldine Richmond, Secretary of State for Science, Department of Energy;
• Ms Camille Touton, Commissioner for Land Reclamation, Home Office;
• mr. Brad J. Crabtree, Assistant Secretary of Energy (Fossil Energy and Carbon Management);
• Mr. Charles F. Sams III, as Director of the National Park Service, Department of the Interior;
• mr. Willie L. Phillips, Jr., to join the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission;
• dr. Ameret Berhe becomes director of the Office of Science, Department of Energy;
• Ms. Laura Daniel-Davis, Assistant Secretary of the Interior (Land and Minerals Management); and
• Ms. Sara Bronin, as Chair of the Historic Preservation Advisory Council.

Committee members must participate in person. The committee will follow guidelines developed in consultation with the treating physician’s office and the Senate Rules Committee to protect the health of members, staff and the public. Under these guidelines, the Senate office buildings are not open to the public at this time, except for official business visitors and official press. Therefore, personal visitors cannot be accommodated at this business meeting.

The business meeting will be broadcast live on the committee’s website and an archived video will be available shortly after the business meeting.
