Carson Wentz threw two setbacks to sabotage the Colts

Carson Wentz had a good game Indianapolis Colts against Tennessee Titans week 8 match on Sunday. Wentz had already thrown three touchdowns with zero turnover and won the Indianapolis draw against AFC South’s leading Titans at the end of the final quarter. The win would have raised the Colts to 0.500 during the season.

After the Titans pound, Wentz and Colts got the ball back to their own 8-yard line less than two minutes after the start of the rule and the situation leveled off. That was the beginning of the end of Indy.

In the first match from scrimmage, the Colts tried to complete the screen pass. It’s not a good idea to be stuck in your own area. The Titans pass Rush came in full force. Wentz desperately wanted to avoid security. He kicked the ball with his left hand to avoid the sack and it ended up in the hands of Elijah Molden for the green goal.

Wentz would have 1:04 left in the decree to redeem himself. He was able to do so thanks in large part to the 42-yard feed disruption penalties imposed on Tennessee, which raised Colts to the one-yard line. From there, Jonathan Taylor scored and moved the game to extra time.

The Colts and Titans each hit their first ball in the OT. Wentz got the ball back from Indy’s 15-yard line for his second ball. After a few plays, the disaster struck again. Wentzin cut off Kevin Byard, whose return put Titans on the field.

The Titans barely needed to move the ball to score a 44-yard goal to win the game. Wentz’s afternoon turned from an encouraging disaster to a few minutes of playing time.

Wentz had only thrown one break in the entire season, the second week before he threw two selections to virtually lose Indy’s game. Although he has taken care of football, Wentz ranks in the top 20 in yards per game, and it’s not much better in yards per attempt. The Colts probably don’t want to give up the first round of selection for this type of production, however it is likely that the first round will return to the Philadelphia Eagles at the Wentz store.

The Titans got terrible news of the victory when it was said that superstar runner Derrick Henry may be out of season due to a foot injury. The Colts now have to dig themselves out of 3-5 holes if they want to get into the playoffs in the AFC. Wentz really hopes he gets those two throws back.
