Report: Armstrong students led a tasteless song in a hockey match against Mars

Pupils in the Armstrong area school district will no longer have access to hockey matches after several high school students shouted at a vulgar female goalkeeper in a recent match against Mars, According to a report by Tribi’s news partner WPXI.

The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League is investigating the matter, says the station.

Commissioner and Chairman of PIHL told WPXI The incident was “disgusting” and said Armstrong students are no longer allowed to participate in the games for the time being. Armstrong administrators travel to guest games to make sure students don’t get in through the door.

“We were proactively contacted by the Armstrong District School District last Friday to tell us about the situation. At that time, they made a formal apology on behalf of their government, district and community, while ensuring a thorough investigation. We trust that “We understand that they will also contact the victim by making a formal apology,” Mars Superintendent Mark Gross wrote in a statement the district submitted to WPXI.
