‘It will be a Ratings Bonanza’

Donald Trump has challenged newspaper editors and politicians to a debate over his baseless claims of widespread election fraud during the 2020 presidential election.

In a typically loud statement, shared via email on Sunday, former President Trump complained that “the fake news media” despised what he called the “real results” of the election.

Former President Trump said he would love the opportunity to debate claims of election fraud and said it would be “a ratings bonanza.”

In the statement, Trump added: “I am ready to challenge leaders of different roles or even far left politicians, who have continued the Real Big Lie, which are voter irregularities and fraud on a massive and definite scale. .

“This includes members of the highly partisan Unselect Committee of Democrats who refuse to find out what caused the January 6 protest — it was the fake election results.

The statement continued: “While I am willing to do so, they will not agree because they cannot dispute the facts in states including Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, Arizona, Nevada, New Hampshire, and others. such as New Mexico, where the Democratic Secretary of State changed voting laws without legislative approval before the election, making it nearly impossible for the Republican presidential candidate to win.

“If anyone wants a public debate on facts, not fiction, please let me know. It’s going to be a rating bonanza for television.”

While Trump claims to have stolen the 2020 presidential election, there is no evidence of widespread voter fraud in the states that sided with Republicans in favor of Joe Biden.

President Biden won the 2020 election with 306 electoral votes to 232. Democrats ’popularity has waned since he won.

Many of Trump’s supporters gathered in Washington DC to protest the certification of the result, prompting hundreds to forcibly enter inside Congress in a deadly event.

Following the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol, Trump’s claims of widespread election fraud have become very popular opinions held within some Republican groups.

The former president endorsed Republicans for their public support of Trump’s claims, as did Kristina Karamo, who runs for Michigan secretary of state, an office that oversees election law. Biden won in Michigan from Trump in 2020.

Few Republicans have moved to oversee secretaries of state positions after audits failed to produce the desired results.

Arizona’s infamous Maricopa County recount of the 2020 presidential election vote confirmed official results that showed President Biden won.

Some Florida Republicans, despite the fact Trump won the state, have also pushed for a state audit, in a desperate desire to support Trump’s baseless claims.

Newsweek contacted Trump’s office for comment.
