River City Girls 2 had a very weird reveal, improvised at E3 in the summer thanks to Limited Run Games, and it’s back at Indie World today with a new gameplay trailer. Developer WayForward has given a summer 2022 window for release as well, so it looks like it’s shaping up well.
It ramps up a bit from the first with more playable characters and what looks like some great settings. Some official details below.
WayForward returns with the sequel to the popular River City Girls game. There is a problem again in River City, with higher stakes, clearer streets and even more humor. Control one of six characters, including returning powers Kyoko and Misako. River City Girls 2 features new moves, enemies, regions, and items…not to mention branching paths, as well as a new soundtrack by first-game author Megan McDuffee. Make the Fist fly solo, or team up with a friend locally or online.
