2021 Stagg Bowl: Live updates, score, how to watch the DIII football championship

The game, which looked like it might be Rout, has turned into quite a battle in the 2021 Stagg Bowl. Back and forth after the first half, Mary Hardin-Baylor leads North Centralia (IL) 19-7.

There has been a LOT of action in this game. DeAngelo Hardy ran back to the opening kick race 93 yards and took the Cardinals to the lead. The rest of the first quarter was ALL Crusaders, who looked like they could drive North Central out of the stadium.

Later the field goal, 3 and out, followed by an eight-yard pass and a pair of Kyle King’s touch passes, and the situation was 16-7.

However, North Central survived the storm and found a more stable rhythm in the second quarter, starting its excellent running game with Ethan Greenfield, who ended the half with 80 rush yards on 18 moves and touches.

Cardinals took the lead 17-16 with a half minute left in the half, but Crusaders responded with one on their own and made it 19-17.

Each defense has so far forced a sack attack, but neither quarterback has thrown a cut. Mary Hardin-Baylor’s distinctive wide Brenton Martin prepares food, with 7 receptions mid-126 yards.
