Small Business Recovery Grant Application | Glynn County, Georgia

The Glynn County Board of Commissioners, through the Finance Department, is offering a one-time grant opportunity of up to $10,000 in grants through the American Rescue Plan funds to help local small businesses deal with the adverse effects of the Coronavirus.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATION IS 5PM ON JANUARY 31, 2022

Complete each section and attach all required documents to qualify for the Glynn County Board of Commissioners Small Business Recovery Grant. The system allows users to later quit the application and continue by selecting “Save” at the bottom of the page. The platform enables secure submission of supporting documentation.

Upon successful submission, a confirmation message will be received at the top of the page. Users are encouraged to print/save a copy of the application for their own records.

Due to expected responses, staff will not provide feedback on the status of submissions. Applications are graded in the order they are received. Contact will be limited to companies selected to make progress in the process.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Suitability:

• For-profit business within the boundaries of Glynn County, operational as of March 1, 2020 and with no more than 50 employees (full-time and part-time).
• Lost income has accumulated due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19
  • Show a loss on your 2020 tax return, or
  • Show loss of tax returns 2019 to 2020

Financing:

• Grant financing must be used for corporate payroll, rent, mortgage, utilities or COVID mitigation.
• Program period/expense period is from March 3, 2021 to March 2, 2022.
• A proof of payment must be submitted during the program period to document the eligible use of subsidy funds.
• The corporate recipient will be asked to certify that the county’s aid does not duplicate other funding.

Award amounts are based on the number of eligible applications submitted at the end of the application period.

Responsibilities of the Recipient:

• Enter into a formal written financing agreement with the Glynn County Board of Commissioners
• Provide documentation to support the disbursement of funds.
• Make every effort to continue business operations through March 2, 2022
• Keep all related records for five years after receiving the termination letter.
• Advise the finance department of business closure by letter from owner with last business day and detailed reason for closure

Fraud and refund

Applicants are advised that making false statements, concealing information, submitting amended documents, using funds for ineligible purposes or similar actions are considered fraudulent and may result in a refund of the grant or other legal actions.
