Actress Abigail Breslin slams Instagram user for criticizing her for wearing a face mask

Oscar-nominated actress Abigail Breslin, best known for her role in “Little Miss Sunshine,” has shut down a social media user who criticized her for wearing a mask. Breslin has publicly emphasized the importance of wearing face masks since his father died of COVID-19 last year.

After Breslin posted a photo of her seemingly riding the Big Apple Coaster in Las Vegas on Instagram on Monday, another user commented, “Who’s the loser in a mask?”

Breslin addressed the commentator head-on: “That pathetic loser would be me, someone who lost his father because someone didn’t wear a mask and gave him COVID. You can kindly go now.”

Breslin’s comment didn’t deter the commentator, who replied, “I’m pretty sure wearing a mask won’t save anyone’s life lol. Obviously I know more than her if she thinks that someone. ‘one who was not wearing a mask killed his father when in reality he was weak. ”

Other fans and followers defended the actress and her father, but she insisted they report the profile instead.

“To say that my father died because he was ‘weak’ is something I will not tolerate,” Breslin wrote.

Health officials argue that the masks significantly reduce the risk of transmitting COVID-19.

Almost a year ago, Breslin announced that his father, Michael Breslin, had died at the age of 78 from COVID-19.

“At 6:32 pm EST, my sweet, perfect, amazing, heroic and wonderful dad passed away after my family and I said goodbye,” she wrote in an Instagram post at the time. “It was COVID-19 that cut my sweet daddy’s life too short.”

“I miss you, dad. I can’t wait to see you again. I’ll never, never, never forget you.”

Back when her father was first put on a ventilator, Breslin stressed the importance of wearing a mask.

“I’m the one saying if you asked my dad: a mask is MUCH LESS LESS uncomfortable than a fan,” she wrote. “So stfu. And wear your goddamn mask. Please. No one should go through this. “

In addition to her role in “Little Miss Sunshine”, Breslin also starred in the “Zombieland” films and in the television series “Scream Queens”.
