Yale-Quinnipiac hockey postponed, Sacred Heart men’s basketball canceled 2 matches

Neither Yale nor Quinnipiac will be playing men’s hockey this weekend.

The Bulldogs announced that their games at Princeton and Quinnipiac have been postponed due to concerns about COVID-19 and the safety practices of Yale’s men’s hockey program.

Brown had already postponed his weekend games, including Fridays at Quinnipiac, for health and safety reasons.

Makeup days have not been announced yet.

Yale (3-9) had returned from a holiday break at the Holiday Face-Off event in Milwaukee on 28-29. December, but its New Year’s Day game against Merrimack was canceled for non-COVID reasons.


Well. 2 Quinnipiac (14-1-3) has not played since December 11 and is scheduled to compete next time at home on 14 January against Harvard.

SHU men’s basketball cancel 2

This week’s Northeast Conference games for the Sacred Heart men’s basketball team in Central Connecticut and Wagner have been canceled. Pioneers cannot compete because of COVID protocols, which requires cancellations.
