Findings: Sabers “bad in all respects,” break down in a shutout loss
Sabers have now been out as many (three) as they have won consecutive matches in Detroit on Saturday after a 4-0 loss.
It didn’t look like any of the teams that won the Western Conference No. 1 team two nights earlier on the road.
The Red Wings, who didn’t train on Friday and took a day off to recharge after a hard stretch, made it harder for Sabres to even get the puck off his own head at times. Detroit scored as many shots on goal in the first period (22) as Sabres all night.
“It was a bad thing in every way,” Frustrated Kyle Okposo said afterwards.
It could have been worse if Aaron Dell hadn’t had a strong performance.
