Luis Diaz: Tottenham negotiates with Porto and is willing to pay up to £ 46 million to buy the pier | Football news

Tottenham is negotiating with Porto to acquire Luis Diaz and is prepared to pay up to € 55 million (£ 46 million) for the winger.

Portuguese sources indicate that Spurs is prepared to offer EUR 45 million (GBP 37.6 million) in advance from Diaz and an additional EUR 10 million (GBP 8.4 million) in performance bonuses.

However, Porto will pay a € 60 million (£ 50.2 million) bonus to the 25-year-old, who has 16 goals and six assists in 28 matches on the Portuguese team this season.

Diaz joined Porto from Club Colombian in the summer of 2019 and has helped them win the Portuguese Championship and the Portuguese Cup during that time.

Diaz also shone last summer at Copa America, where he helped Colombia finish third and finished as the team’s overall scorer alongside Lionel Mess with four goals.

Antonio Conte has made it clear since joining Spurs in November that he wants to “rebuild” his team and the last week of the January transfer window in North London may be busy.

Tottenham is close to an agreement on Wolves Pier Adama Traorewhich Conten is believed to be able to play either as a real winger or forward.

Conte also wants to reform its midfield and Sky in Italy report among Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat players, which Tottenham will review ahead of schedule.

Spurs is also interested in Franck Kessie of AC Milan, whose contract with the Italian club expires at the end of the season.

“Spurs is negotiating the acquisition of Luis Diaz from Porto. Portuguese sources have told us that Spurs is willing to pay him € 45 million plus € 10 million in supplements. I think Porto wants around € 60 million, so the two clubs aren’t that far apart.

“Diaz is a Colombian winger. He has two and a half years left in his contract. Liverpool was interested in getting him. Many clubs have followed him.

“In Porto’s match this weekend, there were scouts from Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.”
