One of the most significant series in NFL history ended last season when Tampa Bay made it to the Super Bowl. The Buccaneers became the first NFL team to play at the Super Bowl home stadium, requiring only 55 Super Bowls. Admittedly, the Super Bowl has only been played in certain locations – usually in warm weather – and not everyone – the Rose Bowl – served as home stadiums for NFL teams, but it was still quite significant that it lasted so long. to make it happen.
And now it can happen for two years in a row. The Rams are a win away from playing the Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium. After more than half a century has been expected to happen once, it can happen in consecutive seasons. So while an Arizona Cardinals fan may feel reluctant, you might consider supporting Rams on Sunday to keep the series alive. After all, Super Bowl LVII will be played with you.

Kansas City Chiefs -7
Cincinnati, you’re a great story, and I appreciate you succeeding and making me look smart last week. Sure, I only had your shelter, but all the reasons I wrote about why I covered you were obvious in your victory. Unfortunately, while you can skip Tennessee, even if Joe Burrow was forgotten, the same approach doesn’t work against Kansas City. The fact is, the Cincinnati attack didn’t play well against Tennessee, but it didn’t matter because Tennessee was even worse.
It doesn’t work against a Kansas City team that no one can stop. I still feel some adrenaline from that Chiefs / Bills game last week, and I can’t give up the feeling that the game was a de facto AFC championship. Even if Tennessee got past Bengals to host this game, I don’t think my feelings would change. Kansas City is simply too good a team. Early in the year, we wondered if the Chiefs were lost, but looking back afterwards, we just watched the team with a brand new offensive line clear things up.
When everyone clicked in front, the Chiefs returned to Juggernaut mode, and this Juggernaut is too much for Bengals to deal with. Yes, Cincinnati is making more points this weekend than last time, but that’s nowhere near enough.
Prediction: Chiefs 31, Bengals 21

49ers in Rams: 49ers +3.5 (-115)
Latest odds:
Los Angeles Rams -3.5
I can’t go against 49ers in this match. There is far too much history to say that this is the right side. San Francisco has won six in the pipe against Rams as Kyle Shanahan seems to have the number of his old friend Sean McVay. There are also trends surrounding 49ers under Shanahan as underdogers that I went through last week, but I repeat now that they have improved again. After last week’s win, the Niners are now 26-17 ATS as underdog and 18-10 as road dog.
While the trends are fun, there are also football reasons for this choice. I don’t think the 49ers are a good match for Rams for a few reasons. One is that the 49ers have a strong enough line of attack to at least slow down Rams ’push ahead. The other is that Jalen Ramsey is not as effective against the 49ers because San Francisco has so many options.
Let’s look at this aftermath. Rams completely stopped the Cardinals attack because the Arizona attack is basically a one-time attack, and at Rams, Ramsey moved around and covered the first reading. This forced Kyler Murray to improvise a lot, and it worked against Arizona (like DeAndre Hopkins wasn’t for all obvious reasons). Last week against Tampa, Ramsey overshadowed Mike Evans most of the afternoon to limit him, and Bucs didn’t have Chris Godwin (torn ACL) and Antonio Brown (torn ego). This didn’t leave Tom Brady with many great throwing options, and it put Bucs in the big hole early.
There are options in the 49ers attack. If the rams use Ramsey to eliminate Deebo Samuel – which isn’t easy because he can get anywhere – there’s still George Kittle and Brandon Aiyuk. In other words, no matter what the Rams do when defending, San Francisco can resist. And that’s why I like their chances of covering at least.
Prediction: Rams 23, 49ers 21
