Dean continues a record weekend at the Kentucky Rod McCravy Invitational

Lexington, KY –Terps athletics teams competed on Day 2 at the Kentucky Rod McCravy Invite in Lexington, KY and a one-day race at the Mason Patriot Games in Fairfax, VA.

Terps had another successful day when several athletes achieved personal records and podium. Junior Caleb Dean continued his series of strong performances, again breaking the program record in the 60-meter run (6.68 s). Terps strives to use these meetings as motivation to succeed during the rest of the season.

Women’s notes

• Postgraduate student Angel guy continued his excellent performance when he earned third place in the 15.81m. Nkwonta won the weightlift on the first day of the race, making the program a record 21.69 meters.

• Kamryn Henderson (14.37) set a new personal record for bulleting in a steady series.

• Mackenzie Morgan (2: 12.61) and Emma Pegg had good performances on the Maryland team competing in the 800 meters.

• Christine Laurie (9: 55,62) ran into the top ten at 3,000 meters.

• Give me the coffin (5: 04.04) competed in Mail on behalf of the Terps team in Kentucky.

• Freshman Alison Colflesh (5: 09.94) won fourth place in the Mail at Mason Patriot Games. Claudia Dolan also competed in Mail for Terps.

• Hannah Mack made his 3,000-meter debut at the Mason Patriot Games and finished sixth.

• Nyela Williams sprint to the finish line 26.74 s in the 200m at the Mason Patriot Games.

• Kirstin Walz (3: 16.85) competed in the 1,000-meter run at Mason.

Men’s notes

• Junior Caleb Dean continued his record series in the 60-meter semifinals with a personal record sprint of 6.68 s.

• Jeff Kline finished fifth in the throw-in 17.08 meters.

• Freshman Eric Albright was the best time of the season at 1: 53.24 at 800 meters and won his first round.

• Second year student Bryce Middleton finished second in the Mason Patriot Games by jumping 1.99 meters.

• Matthew Bigelow the rod competed in a pole vault at Mason.

• Peter Capozzoli also competed in Mason in the 800-meter run.
