The city is in Cincinnati, where he hopes to celebrate on the night of February 13, when the Bengals will perform after his first Super Bowl season in 1988.
But whether Bengals wins or loses to Rams in the Super Bowl HVAC, students in the Cincinnati public school system have time to deal with their reactions.
The school system announced Monday that “staff and students have a day off to celebrate what we believe will be our city’s first Super Bowl win!” Of course, if they lose, fans get a day off to mourn the loss.
Per Cincinnati WCPO, the school system usually schedules a day of professional development for the day after the Super Bowl, but the NFL’s Extended Regular Series moved the league championship a week back. The district said Monday, Feb. 7, on conference day, no school for students.
If the Bengals are able to beat the Rams, it will mark the first Super Bowl title in the series ’history. They had both lost their first two appearances in the Super Bowl, and if coach Zac Taylor’s new tradition shows, the city is particularly eager to celebrate.
