Amid news of Teresa Giudice’s fallout with Joe and Melissa Gorga, The Real Housewives of New Jersey fans don’t think Luis Ruelas is to blame. Teresa and Luis tied the knot last weekend in a lavish wedding attended by family and friends. When it came to Teresa’s family, only her four daughters were in attendance. Teresa’s only sibling was noticeably absent along with his wife and three children. The move appeared to be the ultimate dig in Teresa’s years-long feud with the Gorgas.

There had been reports leading up to the wedding about the family tension. Joe and Melissa skipped Teresa and Luis’ housewarming in June. Fans have been speculating what went wrong. But considering the lingering family drama that took place in season 12, it was only a matter of time before the feud reignited. Joe stormed off set at the season 12 reunion after Teresa called him a “bit*h boy.” Teresa and Melissa also admitted to not spending much time together outside of filming.

Joe and Melissa haven’t had anything nice to say since the season 12 fallout. It might explain why they skipped watching Teresa and Luis walk down the aisle. Reddit user u/PMmeUrGroceryList responded to the family drama and blamed Luis for “isolating” Teresa “from all her family and real friends.” The Redditor explained why they suspect Luis was the one to allegedly push Teresa to spread the rumors that led to Joe and Melissa missing the wedding. But other fans don’t agree. Considering how long Teresa has feuded with her brother and sister-in-law, the underlying tension already existed long before Luis stepped into the picture. The fan noted Teresa’s one family member who missed the wedding and said, “That family member has been problematic since long before Luis came along. Those problems far precede Luis.”

Luis also was a target in season 12. Everyone questioned his past and speculated about his intentions with Teresa. One Redditor applauded Luis for having “tolerated the entire cast coming for him all last season, then invited them all to their wedding and spoke kindly of them.” When it comes to who to blame for the ongoing drama, the fan thinks Luis is at “the bottom of the list of people to blame.” Since season 3, Teresa and Joe have struggled to get along. Their sibling rivalry likely predates the show they continued their feud on. Melissa joined RHONJ bad-mouthing Teresa while providing her version of what went wrong. Over the years, the family has enjoyed brief moments of a truce before returning to their feud.

Luis wasn’t even a thought in Teresa’s mind when all of this took place, so fans are finding it hard to blame him for causing the tension. Elsewhere, Teresa’s longtime friend Dina Cantin skipped the wedding. But many think it’s because the wedding was filmed for a special and Dina has avoided returning to The Real Housewives of New Jersey since her season 6 exit. The drama has always followed Teresa. If anything, Luis knew what he was getting himself into when he signed on to marry the OG housewife. Luis should get used to the drama because Teresa and Joe can’t quit each other no matter how mad they get.
