Springfield Catholic 7, Helias 2

The Helias Lady Crusaders dropped a 7-2 decision in Thursdays dual against the Springfield Catholic Lady Irish at the Crusader Athletic Complex.

Mary Lorang and Liz Drainer won their doubles match 8-5 for Helias, while Samantha Schlacks won her singles match 8-5.

In doubles, Catie Metstrik and Hannah Meystrik lost 3-8 and Schlacks and Lily Delk dropped a 4-8 decision.

Losing in singles for Helias were Catie Meystrik (3-8), Hannah Meystrik (2-8), Delk (1-8), Lorang (4-8) and Drainer (6-8).

The Lady Crusaders won the JV dual 5-2.

Helias (1-1) opens Central Missouri Activities Conference play Tuesday at Rock Bridge. First serve is at 4:30 pm
