Actor Cha Eunwoo returns! ASTRO member confirmed to star in a popular fantasy romance webtoon remake

For those who aren’t aware, back in August this year, it was reported that the ASTRO member was in talks to star as the male lead of a webtoon-based drama, A Good Day to be a Dog. In response to the report, a source from his label, Fantagio, shared, A Good Day to be a Dog is one of the projects he is currently reviewing, and nothing has been decided yet.

Following this, on September 5, the producers of the upcoming drama adaptation and the singer’s label confirmed that Cha Eunwoo would be starring as male lead Jin Seo-won.

Based on a fantasy romance webtoon of the same name, the K-drama will follow the story of a woman who is cursed to become a dog every time she kisses a man. However, the only person who can undo her curse is a man who is afraid of dogs due to a traumatic event he can no longer remember. According to reports, the webtoon has managed to maintain a rating of a whopping 9.9 for two years now, with it being ranked one of Naver’s top webtoons to date.

Slated to begin filming in October this year, this is not the singer’s first acting gig. Eunwoo gained recognition for his his roles in My ID Is Gangnam Beauty and Top Managementfollowing which he shot to fame with True Beautyin which he starred as Lee Suho.

Meanwhile, the actor-singer is also set to star as the lead in Sweet and Sour Chicken, This Relationship Is Force Majeure and Island Season 1. Furthermore, Eunwoo recently wrapped up his solo Asia fanmeet tour, 2022 Just One 10 Minute’ Starry Caravan.
