Manush-Kritika table tennis mixed doubles final

Five gold medals will be at stake tomorrow in the ongoing table tennis event in Surat as part of the National Games. The men’s and women’s singles as well as men’s, women’s and mixed doubles gold medalists will be decided tomorrow. Manush Shah and Kritika Sinha Roy of Gujarat entered the Finals of Mixed Doubles.

While the pair of Harmeet Desai and Manav Thakkar and Manush Shah and Ishan Hingorani lost in the mens doubles semi-finals, they had to be content with the Bronze medal. In mens singles, Gujarat international stars Harmeet Desai and Manush Shah advanced to the semi-finals by winning their respective matches. Manush Shah and Kritika Sinha Roy qualified for the Finals after defeating West Bengals Anirban Ghosh and Mouma Das 3-2 in the semi-finals. Now he will face Telangana.

In mens doubles, both the pairs of Gujarat were defeated by the pair of West Bengal. Now two pairs of West Bengal will face each other in the final. Whereas in Women’s doubles, the final match will be played between West Bengal and Karnataka. Kritika Sinha-Roy and Frenaz Chipiya of Gujarat lost in the quarterfinals to Diya Chitale and Swastika Ghosh of Maharashtra.

In mens singles, Harmeet Desai of Gujarat defeated Deepit Patil of Maharashtra 4-0 and Manush Shah of Gujarat defeated Fidel of Telangana 4-2. Yes. Sathiyan defeated Manav Thakkar of Gujarat 4-1. They were trailing 2-1 when Sharath Kamal got injured in the match against Haryana’s Soumya Jeet Ghosh. Now Sathiyan and Harmeet will clash. When Manush will face Soumyajit.

Krutika Sinha Roy of Gujarat crashed out in the Women’s singles quarterfinal after losing 2-4 to Manika Batra of Delhi. West Bengals Sutirtha Mukherjee, Maharashtras Diya Chitale and Telanganas Sreeja Akula made it to the last four.
