Global signals were mixed Asian markets trading on a muted note today, as Wall Street shuffled to a modestly higher close on Friday as investors digested a deluge of economic data ahead of the Christmas holiday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.53%, the S&P 500 gained 0.59% and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.21%. Japan’s Nikkei rose 0.4%, South Korea’s Kospi index and mainland China’s Shanghai Composite index were flat and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index fell 0.44%.
