Tiffany Young Reveals Honest Thoughts On Criticism Of Her In JTBC’s ‘Reborn Rich’

In light of the finale of JTBC’s hit drama series “Reborn Rich,” singer/actress Tiffany Young took part in a press interview to share her thoughts on directing her first-ever small-screen project.

Thanks to “Reborn Rich,” the Girls’ Generation member and solo artist has transformed into a Korean-American Rachel, secretly working alongside Jin Do Joon (Song Joong Ki) and Oh Se Hyun (Park Hyuk Kwon).

First, during her press interview, Tiffany answered the question asked by many ‘Reborn Rich’ viewers, “Where did Rachel go?”. She said: “I’m just grateful that viewers are curious about what happened to Rachel. When I first met Rachel, I really thought she was a character with endless possibilities. I so grateful that viewers can ask questions like, ‘Where did Rachel go?’ and ‘What does Rachel do now?’.”

Additionally, Tiffany opened up about the criticism she received from some viewers, who felt that surrounded by a cast of veteran actors and actresses, her acting felt like a “disruption.”

The singer said, “As a performer, I’m always open to suggestions from the public and viewers. I always try to consider suggestions and think, ‘My decision there was received differently,’ or ‘I’ll try it will be different next time’.”

She continued, “I’m a rookie. On set, the scenes follow very specific instructions and certain lines of chemistry before they’re edited and shown on screen. I just have to accept what was shown as the final product. and study it. But I must say that in many scenes I portrayed the character according to specific guidelines, not my own judgment. I’m sure that by participating in other projects, I will develop my own style, but for now I’m strictly following the script, the lines given to me and the director’s instructions.”

Finally, Tiffany Young said, “This project itself has been great learning material for me. What interests me the most is how I can improve, how I can become more deeply absorbed by history.”
