A targeting penalty against Georgia in the fourth quarter of Saturday night’s 42-41 Ohio State College Football Playoff win came after officials ruled Javon Bullard’s hit on Marvin Harrison Jr. was legal after a review. Harrison, who had five catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, but did not return to the game after having to be helped off the field.
Harrison was trying to catch a 38-35 game in the back of the end zone when Bullard deflected CJ Stroud’s throw with a huge hit.
“I was told it wasn’t aimed, that he didn’t shoot in the head, which is hard — I didn’t see it, so I don’t know,” Day said, via Bucknuts .. “But to get a concussion and not hit my head, I’d have to see the replay. And they said it happened after he was hit, but I have to watch the video. I couldn’t see the replay.”
