The day I stopped supporting my team, I’ve been a fan of my team since 1974, they were the first team I was ever taken to watch, and as a 9-year-old I loved the way they played, the brilliant style in everything about them.

I’ve followed them through the good times, but mostly the bad times since, but New Years Day 2023 was the final straw!

We currently have the Italian coach Nuno, and on paper we have a good list of world-class players, but our coach has managed to undo them in every aspect. We’ve stopped playing the ball forward only from side or back plays, relying on our striker to get us out of every game. We lose cup games against opponents from lower leagues and frankly when we win we break those victories mostly through luck.

We always start matches as if we’re either asleep or running through quicksand and I’ve finally had enough. Yes I was a Tottenham fan but no more, I lived through Irving Scholar almost broke, Alan Sugar frugalness and Daniel Levy making bad choice after bad choice but today was rock bottom.

I can no longer support this team of mercenaries and I have Beans. Our captain is a World Cup finalist, our middle back is a World Cup winner, we have a left back who is a World Cup semi-finalist and a striker who is a World Cup quarter-finalist, mix that with other proven players. The world stage and Antonio Conte have frankly maintained that they are so much worse than the sun of those parts that it has become worse than a joke.

Today I’m done supporting this club, Conte is a fraud, the players are no better than the local players under 10 and after all these years I’m done.

Before anyone makes her claims that I act titled I have endured this nonsense for far too many years through mismanagement and indifference my club has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory once too often for me. I can’t do that anymore and I’m done with this club and therefore with football in general.

Thanks Antonio you brought me back my weekends and my life now do me a favor and stay away from my ex team because you sir are a sham as a manager!

I’m a believer… in Marcus Rashford I can’t believe I’m about to say this but thank God for Marcus Rashford. He used to be the biggest nuisance (quickly and without cunning) but I like the way he’s mature. This should go to the coaching staff.

I hope he starts from now and finally breaks through to the world class class (which I believe he can reach).

Key win for Manchester United This was a good away result for United with Rashford changing the game once again.

It was a sloppy first half for United. Nothing bad but there were a lot of chances missed because of a bad pass or holding on to the ball for too long. I loved Anthony Wan-Bissaka’s early link-up, but they seemed to stop it later in the first half. The attackers didn’t seem sharp, especially Martial. He might not quite fit in yet because he’s been leaving early lately. Garnacho looked tough but there are still some mistakes you make when you’re young so don’t worry.

The second half was much better for both teams. United had some early chances but couldn’t finish them off. Wolves have stayed in the game and are looking much better than they have this season. The moment Rashford came in the game changed and you could see that Ten Hag started him off the bench it was the right decision and he made it dangerous when he came in and scored a really good goal and had no luck as another was disallowed.

Overall, it was a good away win against Wolverhampton with a goal. Wan-Bissaka has surprised me since coming to Dalot because I was worried he wasn’t up to par with United anymore, but he’s looked really solid and at least made himself a good back-up or a more desirable player in the transfer market. . Anthony looked better to me in this game. Of course he wasn’t at his best, but every good attacking opportunity we had he was involved and he had a good link-up with Wan-Bissaka. Hopefully we can continue this form and add to our attack in the January window to help in the second half of the season.

What is the state of play? A longtime reader, and for the first time writing (this year), TBH was in a place with limited WiFi last week that still exists here in the darkest of Africa so we just heard about Pele and Ronaldo.

Anyway, I wanted to give my two cents for the interesting case of the best league in the world. Can Arsenal do that? They look good and if you give Pep the option he will want the Champions League. Looks like a coin thrown to me. Understandably, Arsenal fans don’t count chickens but what would City fans think if you could find any to ask?

Chanpions League places are also interesting. Tottenham seem to be falling behind, Chelsea are too far away and not looking great, which leaves Manchester United, Newcastle and Liverpool. As a utd fan I’m a little worried about getting 4th now but at least we’re 4th and heading in the right direction.

Weirdly, I’m not too fussed about whether we’re going to sign a striker now. January deals tend to be more a loss than a hit, so I guess I’d rather see what we can do with the current squad than roll the dice with a player who’s over priced right now. I wonder if ETH really prefers a more considerate approach to contracts as well?
