The recipients of the BML Sports scholarship were announced

The Bank of Maldives has announced the recipients of the BML Sports Scholarship, presented as part of a series of 12 impactful monthly community initiatives to mark the Banks 40th anniversary.

The scholarship was launched to support athletes to reach their sporting potential through targeted programs and to provide fully funded scholarships for elite athletes to train and develop at recognized high performance training centers worldwide.

A special ceremony was held at the men’s table tennis hall to announce the winners.

Maldives Olympic Committee President Mohamed Abdul Sattar, BML President and CEO Karl Stumke, Maldives Olympic Committee officials and representatives of national sports federations attended the ceremony.

BML Sports scholarship recipients are;

The BML announced that the scholarships were open to all registered national sports federations and the athletes were selected by the Maldives Olympic Committee.
