New Delhi: The cryptocurrency market was trading in the red on Wednesday. Bitcoin (BTC) fell 1.89% to below $22,700, while Ethereum (ETH) slipped below $1,600.
BTC volume increased by 2.24% to around $27.4 billion.
“Bitcoin and Ether’s trading range has started to narrow as the two largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization look for new areas of support. After last week’s 8% and 5% gains, the movement of price of BTC and ETH has yet to cross a percentage point in the past two days,” said Rajagopal Menon, Vice President of WazirX.
The global cryptocurrency market capitalization traded around $1.02 trillion, down 3.23% in the past 24 hours.
Total DeFi volume is currently $5.23 billion, or 9.21% of the total 24-hour crypto market volume. The volume of all stablecoins is now $50.25 billion, or 88.55% of the total 24-hour crypto market volume.
The price of Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency, hovered around $436.29 billion, with a dominance of around 42.62%, an increase of 0.59% on the day, according to CoinMarketCap. .
