Huens earns CAA Player of the Week honors

WILMINGTON, North Carolina Another student standout Harold Huens UNCW has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Men’s Tennis Singles Player of the Week after leading the Seahawks to a dramatic victory over visiting Presbyterian last weekend.

Waterloo, Belgium defeated PC’s Max Benson 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 in the home match of the defending CAA champion in singles.

“I’m very proud of Harry and his gritty performance in the win over Presbyterian,” said Mait DuBois, UNCW’s 15th-year head coach. “He beat a very good player who has beat players from Georgia Tech and Old Dominion. Harry came up big for us when the team really needed him.”

Huens, the reigning CAA Rookie of the Year, owns a 15-5 singles record in two seasons with the Seahawks.
