Knights Nordic won for the second day in a row in Vermont

Huntington, VT Three skiers finished in the top five on Sunday as the Clarkson University Nordic Ski team capped off the weekend with a win at the Vermont Invitational held at the Sleepy Hollow Inn Ski and Bike Center.

The Golden Knights men came out on top with 10 points, six ahead of the second place team. Clarkson’s women’s result was incomplete as they only had two skiers competing.

The green and gold picked up their second win in as many days and won first in the 14K Classic at Sleepy Hollow. Conner Roberts finished second with a time of 42 minutes, 59.0 seconds, about a minute behind the leader. Joey Rouhana finished about 38 seconds later to finish third in 43:37.4 Kai Richter was well ahead of the skier behind him and finished fifth in 43:50.8 to round out Clarkson’s team finish. Cameron Bancroft was also in the top 10 out of 71 participants, placing 10th in 46:03.9.

Lower in the leaderboard, but still in the top 25, were Hunter Krebs (19th, 47:56.9), Noah Payne (22nd, 48:45.6) and Oliver Dolcino (23rd, 49:59,3). Derek Ferreira (36th, 54:00,2), Adam Jansen (39th, 55:45.5), Eric Nowak (44th, 58:03.5) and Konrad Kremzner (45th, 58:41.8) closed out the Clarkson rookies.

On the women’s side, both Clarkson entrants were in the top ten of the field of 52. Ava Schieffert came sixth with a time of 58:39.0 and Lillian Magnus took 10th place in just over an hour at 1:00:51.5.
