The Washington men’s golf team will be back in action Wednesday through Friday the 8th-10th. February at Amer Ari Intercollegiate at Hapuna Golf Course, near Waimea on Hawaii’s Big Island.
Wednesday’s first round starts with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. Hawaii time (9:30 a.m. PT). UW will play Auburn, Hawai’i-Hilo and Georgia Tech and start in holes 1-3.
Ranked 29th last week, the Huskies opened the spring season with a fifth-place finish at the Southwestern Invitational in Westlake Village, California. Taeho’s song and Teddy Lin tied for seventh on the individual leaderboard.
Amer Ari offers another very strong field of teams, including highly ranked (Golfstat.com rankings) programs such as No. 1 Auburn, No. 4 Arizona State, No. 5 North Carolina, No. 6 Stanford, No. 10 Georgia Tech, No. 14 Pepperdine, No. 16 Oklahoma State and No. 20 Texas among 20 teams.

Individuals: Drew Warford and Robert Galligan
Hosted by the University of Hawai’i and Hawai’i-Hilo, the Amer Ari began in 1992 and was previously held at the King’s Course in Waikoloa Village until 2019. Two Huskies have won the individual title: Nick Taylor in 2019. 2010 and Cheng-Tsung Pan in 2015. The Huskies shared the team title with UCLA in 2013.
Last year, UW finished fifth as a team RJ is missing personally third place in the 16-under 200.
