Tchoua named to the D2CCA All-American third team

WEST HAVEN, Conn. – UIndy men’s basketball player Kendrick Tchou has become the first Greyhound in program history to be named an All-American by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA), the organization announced Monday.

Tchoua, who was named GLVC Player of the Year and D2CCA Midwest Region Player of the Year, finished his fourth season atop the NCAA with a 72.6 field goal percentage. The Silver Spring, Md., native averaged 14.1 points and 8.0 rebounds per game this winter while recording nine double-doubles.

The big man also added 27 assists and 17 blocks in 31 contests.

While Tchoua is the first Greyhound to be honored in this capacity by the D2CCA, he is now one of 11 players in program history to earn All-America honors and the first since. Jordan Loyd in 2016 in the D-II Bulletin.
