BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men’s golf team heads west for its second spring tournament as the Mountain Hawks play in the UC San Diego Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at the famed Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, California.
Fifteen teams will compete in the 54-hole event, 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. Activities on both days start at 7:30 a.m. on Pohjoisrada.
Teams in the field include Bucknell, California Baptist, CSUN, Florida A&M, Hawai’i, Lehigh, Oklahoma Christian, Seattle U., Southern Utah, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, Utah State and Utah Tech.
Lehigh opened the spring season with an 11th-place finish at the Carpetbagger Classic last weekend in Urbana, Md. In Junior Edmund Broderick and older David Hurley led the way by tying for 24th at seven over par 151. The first year Aiden LeBlanc also split into 24 when competing as an individual.
Lehigh’s squad headed to Torrey Pines includes Broderick and Hurly and seniors Daniel Song and Sam Bartonand the first year Jake Roth. Second year student Aidan Oehrle competes as an individual.

Following the UC San Diego Invitational, Lehigh will play in the Columbia Invitational on Monday, April 3 in Springfield, Pa.
