New Hockey Wilderness next month

[ad_1]

Earlier this month, we took a look at what everyone should expect when we at Hockey Wilderness join Zone Coverage in April after Vox Media decided to cut funding for this Minnesota Wild website.

But now that the move to Zone Coverage is just days away, we have more detailed information. Where the previous primer was all about getting everything done with a wide lens, this one is moving into the fine details and more technical side of the website.

At the moment, since we don’t get all the material from Vox Media to get the site up and running until March 31st, we’re waiting for the official release of the new Hockey Wilderness to happen. Monday, April 3 This means we won’t be able to release anything over the weekend, but we’ll be back and starting with a bang next week.

There are just a few things to consider:

  • When you visit a new site for the first time, you’ll need to create a new account (it only takes a minute or two). As this will work on a new system separate from Vox, your account will not transfer. Or you can just lurk and read all the articles without commenting, but we encourage you to register.
  • Speaking of comments, the commenting system is a bit different than the one you’re currently using. It may take some getting used to, but it can provide the same feeling and be useful in our game threads.
  • All old Hockey Wilderness stories published prior to this move now exist on the new website. Nothing will be lost except fan messages, some images from articles and old comments.
  • And in case you’re wondering, it’s the same URL (hockeywilderness.com), so you don’t need to change your bookmarks.

This is still a work in progress and we’ll always make it the best place to get a Wild fix. So please be patient with us and let us know if you find any issues.

As always, we appreciate your staying with us during this process. We are over the moon with Zone Coverage and are so excited to show everyone what we have in store for the future. It’s going to be so damn good.
