How Christian Siriano’s New HSN Fashion Line Was Inspired by Hollywood – The Hollywood Reporter

Fashion designer Christian Siriano, a long champion of inclusivity, is having a busy spring.

She dressed Billy Porter and Quinta Brunson for the Golden Globes, Dylan Mulvaney for the Grammys, and Vice President Kamala Harris for State of the Union. In February, he showed his Its namesake collection Fall/Winter 2023 (size 0 to 30), inspired by Audrey Hepburn, and designed a new riff on Cher Horowitz’s yellow checkered suit from I don’t know anything to be worn by Alicia Silverstone in a Super Bowl commercial for shopping platform Rakuten. Addressing the lack of body diversity seen on the runways at this year’s New York Fashion Week, Siriano said Hollywood Reporter: “For me and my brand, we really try to make sure that we have as much representation as we can and show different shapes and sizes. I think we’re the biggest brand that actually showcases most of the good curves models on the runway… It’s sad that people think it might be a trend, but I really don’t think that’s the goal!

From $40 to $150, the C. Wonder by Christian Siriano sizes from XS-3X, with select pieces available in tall and petite sizes. Within the mix are knitwear, dresses, pants, shorts, blouses, jackets and jumpsuits that Siriano hopes will appeal to women in their twenties as well as women in their sixties and seventies. New styles will be added every month.

“This is a great opportunity for me to be able to have something that is more affordable and something that is really wearable but really chic and cool,” said the 37-year-old designer. THR. “Hopefully, this will turn into more categories – shoes and bags and all!”

“I just sent Drew Barrymore a bunch of our yellow ‘flower power’ dresses, because that’s kind of her signature, so hope she likes it!” said Siriano, referring to Barrymore’s production company Flower Films, the Flower Beauty and Flower Home collections.

“It was so cute because my sister really liked this little denim organza dress in ombré fabric and then my mom really liked the exact same dress. I thought, ‘Wow, I am so surprised!’ I thought they would probably like one of the cover dresses, but they went for a more fashion style one, which I also think is very appealing to HSN women. We tried to push it a little bit.”
