Quinnipiac’s men’s hockey win against Michigan, leading to a national championship

HAMDEN, Conn. (WFSB) – Quinnipiac alums are watching Frozen Four tonight at viewing parties across the state.

Quinnipiac won 5 to 2 against Michigan.

The team will now play Minnesota on Saturday in Tampa for the national championship.

Channel 3 made a trip to Elis in Whitney at Hamden where dozens of people gathered to support the Bobcats.

Hockey is our football. Hockey is the biggest sport in college history and we’re all so excited about it, said Jacob Arcangello, Quinnipiac’s Director of Alumni Outreach.

Passionate is an understatement.

Quinnipiac’s men’s hockey team are playing their third Frozen Four program.

In the end, this is something I will never forget, said one binge-watching viewer.

It’s a special experience, it’s not every school day you get to be a part of something like this so it was a special thing to be a part of, another added.

Bobcats running makes campus lively.

The campus energy is unreal, everyone is in their college clothes and everyone is here for the Bobcats.

All of their success on the ice translated to Elis’ bottom line.

It’s been phenomenal. The deeper Quinnipiac goes, the better for us, the same as with any local school, said Andrew Behm, General Manager, Elis in Whitney.
