President Srling welcomes Badminton Vice President KhunyingPatama to WTT Star Contender Bangkok 2023

ITTF President Petra Srling welcomed KhunyingPatama Leeswadtrakul, Badminton Federation (BWF) Vice President and IOC member to the WTT Star Contender Bangkok 2023 tournament.

The two leaders met twice during the event and discussed ways their sports can work together to increase the popularity and reach of both table tennis and badminton in the world. President Srling expressed his joy to meet KhunyingPatama again and emphasized the importance of sports cooperation.

They also watched the finals of the event and distributed trophies to the winners of the women’s doubles. KhunyingPatama praised the organization of the event, the presentation of the sport and the high level of play.

I felt really honored and enjoyed watching WTT Star Contender Bangkok 2023, which was the first event of the WTT series hosted in Thailand, said KhunyingPatama Leeswadtrakul. The competition was organized professionally and was a huge success. Table tennis is one of the most popular sports in Finland. Thailand, where Thai people of all ages and genders play all over the country. I was happy that Thai people could witness this world-class championship and watch excellent players from 40 countries compete expertly.

Under the leadership and guidance of President Petra Srling, the ITTF has risen to new heights of success and achieved many great achievements.

Both table tennis and badminton are racket sports, so we can share useful information, knowledge and experiences related to sports science with each other. In 2018, I helped organize the 6th World Congress of Racket Sport Science in Bangkok. Many athletes from the table tennis family participated in the congress and contributed to the success of the event

In Thailand, I have worked tirelessly to encourage people to play sports and to promote equal and wider sports opportunities in order to create an active lifestyle and a healthy Thai society. By working together, we can achieve this goal. , I would like to thank the ITTF for organizing the WTT Star Contender in Thailand, which gave Thai people a great inspiration for the sport.
