Donald Gray Tinman, 87, of Gilbert, SC died on May 17, 2023. He was the son of Linnie Mae and Thomas A. Tinman.
Don had a 20-year career in the Air Force serving his country. He was stationed in many locations around the world, including service during the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked another 20 years as a commercial delivery driver. In final retirement, Don spent many years
traveling the country with his wife Pat. He is an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He was a lifelong sports fan, especially the Atlanta Braves and Carolina Gamecocks.
Don is survived by his sister Linda (Bob); his four sons, Michael (Lynn), Tony (Robin), Philip (Katherine), and Joel (Tonya); his grandchildren, Kevin (Marcie), Sarah Rachael (Jody), Kristin (Michael), Jonathan (Hilary – deceased), Amy (Dave), Jordan, Jacob, Spencer (Lauren), Devin (Joey), Amanda, Noah , and Grayson; his great-grandchildren, Morgan, Michaela (Shawn), Gavin, Tyler, Riley, Aidan, Logan, Tyson, Graham, Haylen, Norah, Porter, Charlie, Andie, AJ, and Reynolds; and two great grandchildren, Quinn and Silas.
Don was one of 7 children and was predeceased by his siblings, Bill, Gene, Jack, Dan, and Jo Ann and a great-granddaughter, Ashley.

Visitation will be held from 6pm-8pm, Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, 609 Northwood Road Lexington, SC 29072. Funeral service will be held 2 pm Sunday, May 21, 2023 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 246 St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Road, Gilbert, SC 29054. Burial will follow with full military honors at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Priceville Road.
