Jacob Cash, MSN, PMHNP-BC – Johnson Health Center

Jake joined the JHC Behavioral Health Team in August 2020 and is our newest Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Jake earned his bachelor’s degree at Lynchburg College, now Lynchburg University, before completing his master’s degree at Walden University. Prior to joining JHC, he ran a psychiatric inpatient unit for over 5 years. Jake received the 2019 Mental Health Leader of the Year award and was also named one of the top 40 nurse leaders under 40 by the Virginia Nurse’s Association. He was born and raised in Amherst County and looks forward to serving his hometown and surrounding areas. In his spare time, Jake enjoys spending time with his wife of 10 years and their two children. His family also includes four cats and two dogs! Jake enjoys working on cars, building things, lifting weights, making music, movies and video games.
