Kristen Stewart Makes High Fashion Muscular Tees

Another Chanel event, another chance for Kristen Stewart to play with the house code in an effort to create a look that stays true to the brand and, simultaneously, her edgy, personal style. On Thursday, the actress and longtime house ambassador attended the presentation of the Chanels Mtiers dArt 2023 collection, which was originally revealed in December in Dakar, Senegal. For the occasion, Stewart wore a classic Chanel look, of course, but one she sported with her own unique twist.

Stewart wore an off-white tweed suit set featuring a miniskirt and a collared moto-style jacket. Underneath, she opted for a simple white muscle tank, with an unfinished hem that gives the impression that someone simply took scissors to a Hanes tee to achieve the desired sleeveless cut effect. The addition of a casual top with a tweed set made Stewart’s look stand out, and it was this element of style that often allowed the actress to rock Chanel without question. While these days, the actress has a punk rock edge to her, and most Chanel doesn’t, Stewart and her stylist, Tara Swennen, continue to manage to marry the two in a way that feels authentic.

This was also likely aided by added style—a double chain that hung around the actress’ neck, as well as peep-toe heels that Stewart wore with a pair of shin-high socks. Her mullet, also in full view of the event, looks even more disheveled than usual.

Stewart was joined at the event by her fiancé, Dylan Meyer, as well as fellow brand ambassador Jennie of Blackpink. After wearing multiple Chanel looks at last month’s Cannes Film Festival during the promotion of her new show, the idol, Jennie attended the Tokyo presentation in a black quilted robe, white lace tights and endless accessories. Together, she and Stewart’s looks attest to Chanel Virginie Viard’s versatility from casual punk, to heavily embellished glam.
