Donald Trump has been impeached again, and he’s angry about it

Former US president Donald Trump has been indicted again, and once again maintains his innocence.

Trump was previously indicted in March, with criminal charges related to his alleged hush money payments to adult entertainer Stormy Daniels. This new indictment concerns his handling of classified documents after his presidency, with federal prosecutors charging Trump with violating the Espionage Act.

He was summoned to appear in Miami Federal Court on Tuesday at 3 pm ET and reportedly faces at least seven charges (opens in a new tab). These allegedly include willful retention of national defense information, obstruction of justice(opens in new tab), conspiracy, and making false statements. Additional details are not yet available, as the indictment is under seal.

In response to the allegations against him, Trump made several posts on his social media network Truth Social.

“I AM AN INNOCENT MAN,” Trump wrote as the news broke Thursday night (emphasis original). “THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION IS TOTALLY CORRUPT. THIS IS ELECTION INTERFERENCE & A CONTINUATION OF THE GREATEST WITCH HUNT OF ALL TIME. MAKE AMERICA AGAIN!!!”

He also posted a four-minute video in which he called the accusation a “fraud” and “warfare,” expressing his angry assertion that the accusations against him had no merit, and were just a ploy designed by Democrats. to curb his popularity. Trump’s views were echoed in clips he subsequently shared from conservative media outlets Fox News and Newsmax, both of which criticized his accusation.

Trump’s earlier indictment in March made him the first former US president in history to face criminal charges. This second indictment puts him further ahead in an incredibly dubious category.
