After being dumped by the Los Angeles Dodgers after his lengthy suspension under MLB’s domestic violence policy, Trevor Bauer was unsigned by the other 29 MLB teams. The allegations that led to his suspension were so vile that ultimately teams had to decide they didn’t want the association.
This led Bauer to travel to Japan to pursue his professional career, where the results were rather poor.
Meanwhile, the legal allegations have not ceased. According to USA Today, there is another set of deeply troubling allegations:
Trevor Bauer is facing another allegation of sexual assault from another woman in another state. The alleged incidents happened in late 2020. He denies it, accuses the woman of extortion and says she fabricated her alleged pregnancy from their meeting https://t.co/fSejzVxXxU

You can read the details in the report, but again I will say they are troubling. All the allegations in all the alleged incidents have been troubling.
It was already extremely unlikely that Trevor Bauer would ever return to play in the United States, but, even if he finds a way out of legal danger – civil or otherwise – in this latest case, it is impossible to imagine that an MLB team ever take it. Again.
