June 30 (SeeNews) – Stock indices of the Bosnian and Herzegovina’s Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE) and the Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) closed mostly lower Friday, compared to their values a week earlier, as total trading turnover fell on both exchanges. showed weekly stock market data.
The SASE’s 10-stock benchmark SASX-10 index closed Friday at 1,011.51, down 0.44% from a week earlier, while the broader SASX-30 index, which is composed of the 30 most liquid shares on the SASE, gained 0.60% to finish at 1,763.60 points.
The SASE index that tracks investment funds, the BIFX, ended Friday at 803.89, down 0.41% from its closing value a week earlier.
The Islamic stock index SASX-BBI, launched by the SASE and Bosna Bank International (BBI), closed at 11,119.50 points, about 0.13% lower than a week earlier. The index tracks 25 companies.
SASE’s turnover this week came in at about 2 million marks ($1.1 million/1 million euros), down from the 30.05 million marks last week, as a total of 282,272 shares changed hands in 60 transactions.
The SASE is based in the Federation, one of the two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The BLSE is based in the other entity, the Republic of Serbia.
The BLSE’s reference index, the BIRS, closed Friday at 735.85, down 1.54% from its closing value a week earlier.
The total trading turnover of the BLSE dropped from 246.2 million marks this week to 4.1 million marks this week as 111 trades were executed.
Telekom Srpska [BANJ:TLKM-R-A] generated the largest trading turnover of 147,251 marks on the official market of the BLSE this week. Shares of the company closed at 1.39 marks on Friday, up 1.46% from the closing price a week earlier.
