The Flash star Ezra Miller has responded to one of the many allegations leveled against them in the run-up to the film’s release, as a temporary protective order in Massachusetts was lifted…

Flash star Ezra Miller has addressed one of several allegations made against them ahead of the film’s release in response to a Massachusetts judge allowing a temporary harassment order against the actor to expire.

The order was put in place last June when the mother of a 12-year-old accused Miller of behaving inappropriately. It was also claimed that the actor was aggressive and abusive towards the child’s family (more details here).

Miller took the opportunity to claim they were “unfairly and directly targeted”, while taking a swipe at the media for not “accurately reporting the truth and context of this story”.

I am heartened by today’s outcome and very grateful in this moment to everyone who has supported me and sought to ensure that these flagrant abuses of the protective order system are stopped, Miller wrote in a statement posted on Instagram. Protection orders are intended to ensure the safety of individuals, families and children at risk. They are not meant to be used as weapons by those seeking fleeting tabloid attention or fame or some kind of personal revenge when there are people who really and desperately need these services.

I have been unfairly and directly targeted by an individual whose facts show he has a history of such manipulative and destructive actions.

The author of the original Daily Beast article that Miller is referring to tweeted the following response.

I reported this story. what meunier says here is pure bullshit. https://t.co/gVKukqpE8R
