Schreinemacher added to the field hockey list

“Cato is an all-around strong competitor with a driven and proactive mentality,” Farquhar said. “The team’s team championship, we are excited to welcome him to Syracuse!”

Schreinemacher, who hails from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, brings championship-level field hockey to Syracuse’s midfield. In his final season, he had 15 assists and has helped lead teams to national championships both indoors and outdoors. Schreinemacher was selected for the Dutch national teams at under-12 and under-15 levels, and later played 10 years at first team level.

Schreinemacher chose Syracuse for its stunning surroundings and beautiful campus, which immediately felt like home. He aims to earn a bachelor’s degree in biology at Syracuse while striving to go the extra mile and be the best version of himself on and off the field.
