Bengaluru Smashers take on the up-to-date Puneri Paltan in Ultimate Table Tennis Season 4

Bengaluru Smashers are high on confidence after their first win against defending champions Chennai Lions in the last tie and will look to continue their winning form when they take on Puneri Palta Table Tennis in the ongoing IndianOil Ultimate Table Tennis Season 4 on Sunday at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Mahalunge-Balewadi.

A win will also keep Bengaluru Smashers in the semi-finals, while their loss could dampen their chances of reaching the knockout stages of the league.

A franchise-based league promoted by Niraj Bajaj and Vita Dani under the auspices of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI).

Bengaluru Smashers will be hoping India’s highest-rated paddler Manika Batra continues her positive results, while Kirill Gerassimenko and Natalia Bajor are also key players for the franchise.

“The last draws were really tough, but the win against the defending champions Chennai Lions has given us a lot of confidence that we can always come back. We look forward to fighting and giving our best in the next match against Puneri Palta Table Tennis,” commented Kirill ahead of the upcoming tie against Puneri Palta Table Tennis.

On the other hand, Puneri Palta Table Tennis has also been in good form and has won their last two matches against Dabang Delhi TTC and Table Tennis Goa Challengers. They bank on their young players Manush Shah and Archana Kamath besides their international star 23rd Omar Assar.

Manush said, “We have been in good form and we played well in the last tie as well. Omar has been in great form and will give us a good start. All the franchises are really competitive in this league and we will take each tie as it comes and now we will focus on the next tie which we want to win.”
