As the Republican candidates continue to work towards their goal of securing the nomination for the 2024 Presidential race, it seems that one major candidate is doing a total 180 in his strategy. Ron DeSantis’ campaign manager recently revealed that the Florida Governor is changing how he runs his campaign, and it’s almost the opposite of how his main competitor, former US President Donald Trump, is managing his campaign.

Her campaign manager Generra Peck told NBC News that DeSantis is “ready to prove them wrong” and has decided to change her strategy to include more intimate appearances, rather than the big events she and Trump tend to do.

“Ron DeSantis has never been favored or loved by the establishment, and he has won because of it every time,” he said. “Nobody in this race has hurt more and won than Gov. DeSantis. He was ready to prove them wrong again. Buck up.”

As many political watchers know, the Home Alone 2 star is known for holding big rallies to swing the numbers in his favor, a practice DeSantis also does frequently. But with more candidates coming forward and the race very much up in the air, he seems to prefer to separate himself from his competitors by being the more intimate and accessible candidate.

RadarOnline speculates that the reason for the smaller displays is a way to be more accessible to the media, which may help with exposure.

The news comes days after DeSantis’ campaign fired about a dozen staffers after missing poll numbers. An inside source told NBC News that “the whole campaign is on edge. I’ve never seen anything like it.”
