WILLISTON, N.D. (KMOT/KUMV) – State health officials deployed a mobile medical unit at the CHI St. Alexius Medical Center in Williston this week, as part of the response to measles cases in Williams County.

The mobile unit will be used to evaluate those with symptoms or those who suspect they have been exposed to determine if testing is necessary.

The 1,000-square-foot unit has between eight and 16 beds. The hospital says it will be on site in Williston for as long as needed.

Health and Human Services has reported 10 confirmed cases of measles in Williams County this year, with two others in Cass County.
